Paul uses the word partnership – as a central invitation in this letter – Philemon is invited to be his partner in building the new kind of Family Jesus came to start through His life, death and resurrection.

 

 

What I hope people get out of it is an increased ownership to become this kind of new community. The focus on relationships, forgiveness, dignity and honor given in the family, built through love and sacrifice… TOGETHER! It is a story of a relationship as a model for the new kind of family we are becoming.
