LOCAL

We truly care for our communities and we believe we can show that by being the hands and feet of Jesus. Below are some of the ways that we serve our local communities.

Love In Action

LIA is an organization in Grand Haven that we partner with in multiple ways. They serve the Tri-Cities area.  One of the ways we partner with them is through a food pantry at our church on Monday mornings from 9am-noon to those in the community who are in need of short-term relief.  We work closely with LIA who supplies our pantry with food and helps connect our guests with other needed resources as well.  We also host LIA Empower U classes at our Spring Lake campus that equips people with basic skills and empowers them with dignity.  Finally, we partner with LIA and other area churches to help people with housing needs through a program called Housing Ministry Collaborative (HMC).

Love In the Name of Christ

Love INC is an organization in Muskegon that we partner with in multiple ways.  They serve the Muskegon Co. area.  We host Love INC's New Directions classes at our Muskegon campus that equips people with basic skills and points them above all else to Jesus.  At the beginning of December each year, we host Love INC's Christmas store at our Muskegon campus.  This isn't just a free store, each participant has earned points to use to buy Christmas presents for their loved ones.  We also work closely with Love INC to help meet needs in the Muskegon area including housing, ramps, and other needs as needed.

Kids Hope

One child. One hour. One time a week. Kids Hope USA facilitates relationships between loving, caring adults who are matched with children that teachers have identified as being at-risk academically or socially.  Our Spring Lake campus partners with Jeffers Elementary School. When kids feel loved and valued, they are better able to learn, grow and succeed. And what better way to make a difference than right here in our own community?

Hand2Hand

Many families in Ottawa and Muskegon County benefit from free or reduced lunch during the school day but struggle to put food on the table over the weekend. Hand2Hand is a food backpack program in West Michigan that offers healthy resources for children on the weekends and is a partnership with churches and local schools. We partner with Jeffers Elementary School in Spring Lake and Bunker Elementary School in Muskegon. We anticipate packing and delivering 350+ backpacks each week.

Most needed items: quart size ziploc bags, large cans of chicken, small jars of peanut butter, large cans of spaghetti sauce (no glass jars), pudding cups, fruit cups, individual oatmeal packets, granola bars, canned veggies, and mac & cheese.

Jail and Prison

We partner with local Jail and Prison Ministries to offer continued support for their programs. Reach the Forgotten Ministries is our local jail ministry partner. Prison Fellowship and Fresh Coast Alliance are our local prison ministry partners. All of these ministries are doing tremendous things that are not only bringing about life transformation among the incarcerated, but also raising up tomorrow's leaders inside and outside the prison walls. We work with these programs in various ways throughout the year.
