During the Month of November we're collecting new and gently used clothing for area foster sharing closets.
When kids are removed from their homes they often take very little with them. They often need an entire wardrobe. That's where foster sharing closets come in.
Foster sharing closets keep new and gently used clothes in all different sizes and varieties in stock so when a child is placed in a home, the foster parents can "shop" for whatever the child needs: shirts, shoes, snow pants, underwear, socks, etc.
We collect for: Kids Belong Foster Sharing Closets and Covered in Love which provides 2-3 days of clothes for kids as soon as their taken out of their homes so their foster family has a few days of clothes to take care of their immediate needs.
Want to help? We need people to:
- bring clothes from the Coopersville Campus to the Spring Lake campus
- sort clothes at the Spring Lake Campus (We're tentatively planning on sorting November 28 & 29).
- deliver clothes to the Foster Sharing Closets
