We believe God speaks through an amazingly one-of-a-kind collection of writings called the Bible. With over 40 authors, over millennia, from different parts of the world and various walks of life, God used people to communicate His love, His story and Our story through this life giving word.  It is unique and through it’s words we come to know Jesus, the Living Word, as the Holy Spirit helps us to understand this revelation known as the Bible.

Ps 119; Hebrews 4:12; john 17:17; Ephesians 5:25-27; 2 Tim 3:14-17; John 1:1, 14

We admit we are imperfect people.  We are trying to become more honest in our struggles, sins and failures with ourselves and others.  We do this in light of Jesus' love and the Holy Spirit’s work to change us.   1 john 1:6-9  Romans 5:6-8 2 Corinthians 5:14-21

We are “all ministers” God calls pastors and leaders to equip His people to carry out His mission in the world.  He gives spiritual gifts, skills, experiences and personalities to help each of us fulfill the dreams that He has for us.  Each believer grows in the process as they minister to others inside and outside of the church.  Ephesians 4:11-16; 1 Corinthians 12:1-31; 14:1-40; Romans 12:1-21

God is the creator and He is creative in how He pursues. redeems, heals, loves, and moves in history and in our lives.  As such. we are to follow in the same manner.  We seek to be artistic in how we approach life, relationships and the work of the church in a way that reflects His redemptive, creative nature to the world around us.  Genesis 1-2 (creation narratives);  Isaiah 43:9; Isaiah 65:17; Romans 1:20; 2 Corinthians 5:17; Revelation 21:5

We love people as they are.  It is how God loves us.  We look to bring the love and hope of Jesus to all, whatever their circumstances.  We meet people in the mess (uncertainty, chaos and darkness) of life and walk with them towards Jesus.  John 8:3-11; Matt 9:9-13; Mark 12:30-31; 2 Peter 3:9

Jesus came to bring His kingdom.  Not the kingdom through one local church, but through HIS CHURCH.  We see that we are one part of the larger church that is His.  So we plant churches, develop leaders, help other churches, bring justice, befriend the lonely, support para church ministries, work for peace and care for the poor. Matthew 16:18-19; Acts 2; Matthew 28:19-20

We seek God’s face to know who He is not His hands for what He gives us.  He is our source and our destiny.  We week Him through prayer, study, worship and reflection.  We believe that we can only minister out of our connection to Jesus and in dependence on the Holy Spirit. Psalm 16:8 John 15:1-27; 17:1-26; Acts 4:13
